Overview

Monitoring tells you what AI says about your business. Runexus also gives you an owner-approved source of business answers through Site Agent.

The choice depends on the work you need to do: follow visibility trends across a portfolio, or bring a business’s website evidence, recommendation tests and published answers into one domain-focused workspace. These approaches can also complement each other.

What Runexus is designed for

A Rune is a workspace permanently linked to one canonical domain—your website’s main domain. Domain Scanner checks your website’s information, evidence-first Authority Scanner examines independent sources, and SEO Health covers supporting website fundamentals. Site Agent gives you a review and publication workflow for business knowledge.

AI Selection runs buyer-intent recommendation benchmarks across Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude and Grok. Results distinguish selection, visibility without selection, no surfacing and unavailable evidence. Each run is a point-in-time test; API results may differ from what someone sees in a consumer AI app.

What Otterly is designed for

Otterly organizes AI search measurement around tracked prompts, brand reports and citation analysis. Its plans include daily tracking, with prompt capacity shared across brands and domains. This suits teams comparing visibility over time or reporting across several clients. Source: Otterly plan guide.

It also offers GEO audits: its Crawlability Checker and Content Checker examine access, content readiness and structured data. Source: Otterly’s GEO audit explanation.

The biggest difference: Site Agent

Runexus does not stop at measuring AI visibility. Site Agent lets a business review, approve and publish a maintained source of business answers that external systems can retrieve.

You review business facts, setup answers and supporting corpus material before publication. Runexus hosts the published release; your website administrator adds a snippet that advertises its stable addresses. Later edits stay private until you approve and republish them. Supported queries draw from that approved material and retain explicit boundaries when an answer is unknown or unsupported.

This makes your business information easier to retrieve consistently. It does not mean major AI platforms automatically read it, adopt its answers or recommend you ahead of other businesses. Runexus’s Site Agent is an HTTP interface, not an MCP server.

The Otterly sources reviewed here establish monitoring, audits and data integrations. We have not verified an equivalent owner-approved business-answer publishing workflow there; that is a question to confirm with Otterly if it matters to your decision.

Who may prefer Runexus

Runexus may fit a business that wants to control its published facts, inspect evidence behind recommendation tests, and maintain a Site Agent alongside its website assessments. It suits an owner or web team prepared to review information, install the snippet and keep approved answers current.

The domain boundary is useful when each website needs its own workspace. It also means you should budget for a separate Rune for every additional canonical domain.

Who may prefer Otterly

Otterly may fit teams whose main need is recurring prompt monitoring, citation trends and reporting across several brands. Its prompt-based plans may be a more practical starting point when you want to allocate a tracking budget across a portfolio. Plan scope.

If your workflow depends on bringing visibility data into an AI assistant or another reporting system, its documented API and MCP integrations are worth evaluating. Integration updates.

Pricing

Runexus: $149.95/month per domain (USD). One canonical domain equals one Rune. The public scan is free. Paid onboarding is currently by invitation with support-assisted purchase ownership confirmation; creating an account alone does not purchase a subscription. Runexus pricing and getting started.

Otterly’s published monthly prices: Lite $29 for 15 prompts, Standard $189 for 100, and Premium $489 for 400. Enterprise pricing is custom. These are the US-dollar monthly figures reviewed on September 30, 2026, not annual-plan equivalents. Extra engines and prompt capacity can change the total; confirm currency, taxes and the final quote before purchasing. Source: Otterly pricing.

A prompt allowance and a domain workspace are different units. Compare the number of domains you manage, the queries you want to track and whether you also need an approved source of business answers.
